Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology is one of
the renowned engineering universities in Bangladesh which provides different
engineering courses. The university started their journey in 1980 under the
University of Dhaka as a faculty of engineering and offering 4 years bachelor degree
to their students.
In 2003 the university started their journey as a full-fledged university named Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology, Gazipur which is also well known as DUET.

B.Sc. in Textile Engineering is one of the popular degrees
provided by DUET. The university provides different facilities to their
students so that they can meet today’s challenges in textile and apparel
industry. They provide theoretical and practical knowledge of different fields
of textiles so that students can meet today’s need in textile industry. This is
a 4 years full time course where students can learn different sector of textile
and fashion. University offered lab facilities to their students so that
students can understand well all of their subjects. After completing this
course you can apply for higher education in any field of textile and also you
will able to work in the field of spinning, knitting, weaving, garments
manufacturing, merchandising, fashion designing etc.

Requirements for
Admission Test: Students should be Bangladeshi by birth or legal
immigration. Candidate must be passed Diploma in Textile Engineering and must
obtaining CGPA 3.00 or candidate must be massed SSC and HSC or equivalent
examination from Science group and obtaining CGPA 3.00 (With additional
Subject). Foreign students should apply to the Ministry of Education;
Government of Bangladesh through Bangladesh embassies located their own
country. 16 seats of total number of seats are reserved for foreign students.
Application Procedure: Students must apply through
application form. Application forms are available in University office.
Application charge 950 BDT or 13 USD only. Candidate must be tested to get
admitted in this program.
