Like some others country China has a large textile industry.
Recently China started developed their textile machinery industry. As China has
a large textile industry, China needs more technical and educated person to
operate and develop their textile industry.
Since the late 1990s China's
textile higher education has undergone decline. There are a large number of
textile universities, colleges and institutes in China which provides different
textile courses to their local and foreign students.
In the 1950s, the
Communist Party centralized the management and control of all higher education
institutions in keeping with the Communist structure of politics. All higher
education institutions were nationalized and operate according to the
state-control model. It is very difficult to identify exactly when the Textile Industry
and textile education began in China. Archaeological studies suggest that the
first textile, different from fur or skins sewn together, was felt (non-woven
cloth produced by condensing and pressing woolen fibers). The locations where
textile was first used are believed to be: Egypt, India, Turkey and China.
There are a large number of public and
private textile universities, colleges, fashion schools and institutes in China
and they provide different textile degree. Now-a-days, China popular for
providing technical textile education courses such as Textile Machinery, Agro
Textile, Geo Textile, Medical Textile etc. So many textile universities in
China provide scholarship to their local and foreign students so that they can
easily take up their desirable degree from those universities. As there are a
large number of textiles industries in China so foreign students can easily do
part time job in those industries when they take up a textile degree from
Textile universities.
The
governments of China need to take more proper step to grow Textile education in
China properly. Government can offer motivational package to the private
textile universities and colleges so that they can provides their courses at a
low cost. Government can also manage part time job for foreign and local
students so that they can easily take up their degree.
