Begumgonj Textile Engineering
College is one of the oldest and famous textile engineering colleges in
Bangladesh which is located in Begumgonj, Noakhali district under Chittagong
division. The college was first establishing in 1918 and provide 6 month
certificate course in textile technology to fulfill the demand of technical
person in East Bangle.
In 1968 it was upgrade to District Weaving School and
offering 2 years certificate course in Textile. After that 1994 the college
started providing 3 Years Diploma Course in Textile Technology and then upgrade
to 4 years Diploma course. Finally in 2011 the college renamed as Begumgonj
Textile Engineering College and offering 4 years B.Sc. in Textile Engineering
course in different special areas of textile.
Begumgonj Textile Engineering College provides
Bachelor degree in 5 special areas of textile. The 5 special areas are Yarn Manufacturing, Fabric
Manufacturing, Wet Processing
and Garments Manufacturing and
Fashion Design.
Begumgonj Textile Engineering College provides many facilities to their students.
The college provides Scholarship facilities, Library, Hostel for both male and
female, Transportation, Auditorium and many others facilities. The college has
more than 9 different labs to provide practical knowledge to their students.
They have Yarn Manufacturing lab, Weaving lab, Knitwear lab, Wet processing
lab, Garments and Fashion design lab, Computer lab and others lab with
different types workshop. The college has a large campus area.
