Bangabandhu Textile Engineering College is one of the
renowned textile engineering colleges in Bangladesh which is located in
Kalihati, Tangail. The college started their activity in 2007. The college formerly
named as Textile Institute, Tangail and the college well known as BTEC.
The
college academically operated by the faculty of Engineering and Technology,
University of Dhaka.
Bangabandhu Textile Engineering College provides 4 year
B.Sc. in Textile Engineering course to their students. As textile industry is
one of the important and growing sectors in Bangladesh so that this sector need
educational and technical person to develop this industry. BTEC try to produce
skilled manpower to improve and develop textile sector in this country. They
provide theoretical and practical knowledge in different field of textile so
that students can understand their course properly and develop their skill. The
college provides many facilities to their students so that they can take up
this degree easily and understand their course properly. The college provides
textile lab facilities, computer lab, physics lab, chemistry lab and
engineering workshop facilities to their students. After completing this course
any one can apply for higher education in any field of textile and also can
work in the field of spinning, knitting, weaving, garments manufacturing,
fashion designing etc.

Requirements for
Admission Test: Students should be Bangladeshi by birth or legal
immigration. Candidate must be passed SSC and HSC or equivalent examination
from Science group and obtaining CGPA 3.00 (With additional Subject). Or
Candidate must be passed Diploma in Textile Engineering with CGPA 2.75 (Instead
of HSC). Foreign students should apply to the Ministry of Education; Government
of Bangladesh through Bangladesh embassies located their own country.
Application Procedure: Bangladeshi students must apply
through admission form. Student can get admission form from www.btec.gov.bd
or www.titangail.gov.bd. Students can also collect admission form from college
campus.
Candidate must be tested to get admitted
in this program.
