Apparel Manufacturing and Merchandising is one of the
important sectors in apparel and garments business. Success in apparel and
garments business greatly depends on this sector so that this sector needs more
educational and technical person so that they can operate properly.
B.Sc.
(Hons) in Apparel Manufacturing & Merchandizing is an important degree for
the people who want to build their future in apparel and garments.
Textile Institute of Pakistan (TIP) provides the degree to their students so that they
can easily do their job in this sector and build a better garments &
apparel industry as well as human resource.
The main aim of this course is to develop human resource so
that they can develop textile industry to support countries economy. After completing
this course anyone can easily co-operate with western buyers and also attract them
by displaying their own manner and also they can research their business,
understand and develop customer relationship etc.
Students get admitted through admission test and according
to their result. The admission test is comprised of three components and is in
English. It is designed to recall factual information, application of knowledge
and problem solving ability. Applicants for the Textile Design Technology
program also have to take a drawing test to demonstrate drawing skills and
finally Candidates successful in the admission test will be called for an
interview and will choose to get admitted.

Requirements
for Admission Test:
Students should be Pakistani by birth or legal immigration. The candidate
should meet any one of the following criteria: Intermediate (Pre-Engineering)
or Three GCE A Level subjects (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) or
Equivalent qualification (to be evaluated by the Academic Committee). Foreign
students should apply to the Ministry of Education; Government of Pakistan through Pakistan embassies located their own country.

Procedure:
Students must apply through application form. Application forms are available
in University office. Application charge 1,500 Rs. or 16 USD only. Candidate
must be tested to get admitted in this program.
